Fire Training Facilities
Macquarie Manufacturing Pty Ltd was contracted to upgrade and replace two Fire Training Facilities in Singleton and Argenton.
The project included the removal of existing structures, the design and manufacture of new facilities and the installation and commissioning of the new structures on site.
Macquarie Manufacturing Pty Ltd was contracted to retore and erect an artefact from the old West Wallsend Colliery, a Poppet Head, at Argenton as an example of the region's mining history in 2007.
The relic had heritage significance because it was believed to be Australia's first steel-framed Poppet Head, which was used to hoist coal from the mine.
Macquarie Manufacturing were contracted to manufacture and install equipment required to reduce sound and vibration emitted from existing facilities. This included the removal and modification of existing cladding and structural members and the manufacture and installation of new materials.
