Illawarra Service Centre

Our Illawarra Service Centre is based in Unanderra NSW and is a multifunctional work centre comprising:

• Large yard space, total site area: 16,450 sqm

• Total workshop area:2,628 sqm

• Bulk washdown area

• 1,000 kV power with multiple outlets, both indoors and outdoors

• Three overhead cranes with combined lifting capacity of 35 Tonne

• Easy access for loading / unloading all sized mining equipment

• Qualified and experienced personnel

• Ideal space for minibuilds

Refurbishment of live and dead shaft pulleys includes;

• Complete strip down, inspection and audit of unit

• Quote for repairs including photographs, additional repairs and recommendations

• Removal of bearings, marked (left / right) and sent back to client for future analysis if required

• Sand blasting of pulley unit

• Magnetic Particle Inspection;

• Examiner qualified to Australian Institute for Non-Destructive Testing (AINDT)

• Tested in accordance to AS1171:1998; Non-Destructive Testing – Particle Testing of Ferromagnetic Products, Components & Structures

• Accepted in accordance to AS1554.1:2011; Welding Steel Structures

• Pulley crown machining on LT non-drive pulleys

• Repair / replace bearings and seals if required

• Replacement of lagging;

• Cold lagging with natural or FRAS Elastotec or rubber

• Hot Vulcanised Lagging

• Static balancing

• Surface coating and stainless steel signage applied

• Repairs completed by qualified tradesmen in accordance to AS1554.1:2011; Welding Steel Structures

• Report supplied with refurbished unit including critical measurements, e.g. minimum shell thickness

• Transported with both the shell and shaft restrained, with lagging protected and pulleys are plastic wrapped. Fabricated transportation frames also available.
